Non-Surgical Back Pain Relief: Boise Chiropractor
A few years ago I was suffering with excruciating neck and back pain, and felt like my overall health was in a state of rapid decline. I was experiencing frequent bouts with migraine headaches, acid reflux, allergies, fatigue, and difficulty getting a good night’s sleep. I dreaded going to work, going on family or business trips, socializing with friends, or even going to bed.
Like many Americans I turned to pain killers – popping Advil every few hours like they were breath mints. I took prescription strength antacids / proton-pump inhibitors, migraine medication, and Claritin for my allergies every day. I found myself drinking soda and eating sweets, just to have the energy to get through the day.
After six months of “treatment”, my medical doctor told me that most likely I would be on those medications for the “foreseeable few years”. He also asked me to go see his friend, an orthopedic surgeon for back surgery. As scared and hopeless as I was, I made an appointment and went to the medical center for a pre-op exam.
To my surprise, the orthopedic surgeon never once ran his hand down my spine to examine the area that was bothering me, nor did he take any x-rays in the 3 minutes I was in his office. “Margie will get you in on August 13th for surgery” as he rushed out of the exam room. “What are the chances of this surgery helping me?” I asked; “50%” he shouted as he went into his next appointment.
On my drive home that day, I was angry at myself for letting my health get to this point. I was disappointed that I agreed to surgery, even though I was told there is a 50% chance of improvement. I was scared that I was making the wrong decision, and could possibly end up bedridden for the rest of my life. So as soon as I got back home, I started researching alternative methods to fixing my spine, and improving the quality of my life.
During my research, I came across a website for Chiropractic BioPhysics, a corrective chiropractic technique that aimed to realign the spine and eliminate pain from the source. It claimed that its non-invasive and pain-free method not only helps get rid of neck and back pain for good, but more importantly eliminates the source of health problems I was experiencing; headaches, acid reflux disease, fatigue, allergies, weak immune system, and even insomnia.
I immediately cancelled my surgery and opted to have a CBP chiropractor take over my healthcare on August 13th. It turned out to be the BEST decision I have ever made in my life.
After my first visit to my CBP chiropractor, I quickly learned that the nervous system is responsible for every function of the human body. I learned that my declining posture (as a result of sitting behind a computer all day) has put excessive and dangerous amounts of pressure on the delicate nerves in my neck and back. I learned that those effected nerves are the same ones that control the function and health of my immune system, my digestive system, and my cardiovascular system.
About two weeks into my corrective chiropractic treatment, I noticed that I was no longer experiencing migraine headaches. I noticed that I was no longer having to take acid reflux pills. I noticed that I was having restful sleep at nights. I noticed that I was full of energy, and could do ANYTHING I wanted to. Towards the end of three month treatment program, I was planning trips and vacations, enrolled myself in the gym, bought a new bicycle, planned my wedding, and started living life again.
Thank you Chiropractic BioPhysics for giving me my life back.
